Time for a party plate! Use your humanely raised, artisan meats from True Story Foods to build the ultimate charcuterie board or create an elegant appetizer platter. These hors d’oeuvres pair perfectly with wine and cocktails, whether before dinner or as the main event.

  • 1 package True Story Genoa Salame
  • 1 package True Story Heritage Breed Prosciutto
  • 1 package True Story Kurobuta bacon
  • 1 green apple, sliced thin
  • 1 wedge Brie cheese
  • 1 baguette, sliced thin
  • 1 box crackers or crisps
  • 12 dates
  • 12 luxardo cherries
  • 1 cup pecans
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Tsp cinnamon
  • Salt

Directions

BACON-WRAPPED DATES
  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap one pitted date in one halved bacon slice. Repeat with remaining dates.
  3. Bake, seam-side down, for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bacon is nicely crisped.
PROSCIUTTO APPLE STACK
  1. For quick candied pecans: Melt a quarter cup of brown sugar in a saucepan with cinnamon, a pinch of sea salt, and your favorite spices and flavorings (such as vanilla extract, orange zest, and a pinch of cayenne). When it begins to bubble, stir in a cup of pecans and stir until they are shiny and coated with sauce, 2-3 minutes. Spread on a baking sheet and allow to cool, then break up.
  2. Layer 1-2 thin slices of green apple, a small slice of prosciutto, and a candied pecan on a slice of toasted baguette. Repeat with remaining baguette slices.
SALAME BRIE BITE
  1. Top each cracker or crisp with a slice of Brie, a slice of Genoa Salame, and a luxardo cherry.
