We’ve heard it a million times before- breakfast is the most important meal of the day! But how do we make the most of it? How do we pack our breakfast with the right nutrients to fuel us through our morning? Especially when it may not be the most leisurely part of our day! Maybe you’re in a pinch- scrambling to get the kids out the door and to school, or to the office for a big meeting, maybe you’re headed to a spin class with your girlfriends..

I love using my favorite Organic Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage for an easy protein boost to any breakfast. Plus, it’s quick to prepare, which is ideal for a hurried morning. Keeping my protein sources real and natural, rather than powders packed with added sweeteners, keeps my head clear and body energized. Some of my favorite protein-packed breakfasts include breakfast tacos, avocado toast, and shakshuka.

I know what you’re thinking… breakfast tacos- check! Avocado toast- double check! Shakshuka?! Shakshuka is a Middle Eastern dish of poached eggs in tomato sauce. I’m always adding extra veggies and proteins to mine; like kale, onions, peppers, and chicken sausage! I like to heat my base of the sauce, veggies and sausage in a skillet on the stove top, then crack my eggs in and transfer to the oven for them to cook.

Looking to elevate your basic breakfast tacos? Heat up those tortillas, my friends. These protein-packed tacos include a sweet potato mash with plant-based queso, black beans, avocado, chicken sausage, and cilantro. Colorful, protein-packed, fats, fiber… what’s not to love?! Pro tip: Pre-roast your sweet potatoes to prepare yourself for a quick breakfast feast.

Last but most certainly not least, the beloved avocado toast. UPGRADED. A toasted English muffin topped with fresh avocado mash, chicken sausage, fresh tomatoes and a sprinkle of Everything But The Bagel seasoning.
